LOCIS - Pipe Inspection Systems

LOCIS is a latest-generation non-destructive testing system integrated into roller conveyor lines for inspecting longitudinally conveyed pipes using phased array ultrasound and a rotating water jacket. The system reliably detects internal defects as well as longitudinal cracks on both inner and outer surfaces of pipes.

In addition, LOCIS performs online wall thickness measurement and evaluation, enabling real-time quality control during production. Thanks to its modular design without mechanically moving components, pipes and tubes with diameters typically ranging from 60 to 180 mm can be tested without major mechanical adjustments. With high scanning speed and automated evaluation software, LOCIS delivers efficient, precise and repeatable inspection results for industrial production environments.
